08.16.10 - A VIP EXPERIENCE LIKE NO OTHER AT THE GRAND PRIX CYCLISTE DE MONTREAL

Canadian Cycling Association releases details of VIP Program at Canadian UCI ProTour events

(Ottawa, ON - August 16, 2010) During the Grand Prix Cycliste de Montréal on September 12, the Canadian Cycling Association wants 50 Canadian cycling fans to live the ultimate experience as the world's best road cyclist race towards the UCI ProTour title.

The Canadian Cycling Association, through the support of the Grand Prix Cycliste ProTour Québec - Montréal organizers, has developed a special limited VIP experience that will put you in a preferred seating area near the Start/Finish line for Canada's largest road cycling event of the year.

The VIP package includes the chance to ride in the Race Caravan for one lap, a UCI ProTour Jersey and Bib, exclusive gifting items from the Canadian cycling team, private brunch with members of the National Team, upscale hospitality at the Start/Finish line of the race with food and beverage services, and much more.

Only 50 tickets are made available, and the unique experience will cost cycling supporters $1 000. A tax receipt in the amount of $600.00 will be made available to participants. Proceeds from the experience will help Canada's road cyclists on their journey for the 2012 Olympic Games in London, GBR.

In order to compete with the top cycling nations in the World, the Canadian Cycling Association has developed a European training base from which the technical staff, led by National Coach Vincent Jourdain, operates an extensive training and competition program for targeted Canadian riders.

The proceeds from this event will increase the number of riders that can participate in this important program which will assist Canada in becoming a stronger road racing nation.
